parker & hammond

a heritage brand within the optical industry...

In 1931, Sydney Parker qualified as an optician following the establishment of a small pharmacy in South Harrow. Fast forward to 1934, Parker & Hammond Opticians was founded as part of Sydneys pharmacy beginning the legacy that is Parker and Hammond today.

With such a long history it was important for Retail Experience Design to be sympathetic to the heritage of the brand while bringing it into alignment with todays Optical Retail Environments.

A crucial aim was for Parker & Hammond to gain a clear understanding of their current and future customer base.

Parker & Hammond say...

"We chose to work with Retail Experience Design as we wanted a totally bespoke service and a practice that looked unique. We wanted to create a truly welcoming environment for our patients to feel relaxed, to experience outstanding eye care and choose the very best eyewear."

"The RED team listened to all of our requirements and designed an amazing retail environment that our staff enjoy working in while also providing our patients with an enjoyable place to shop. They guided us through materials and finishes that complimented our brand identity and the practice design to ensure everything really came together!

Our shop fit was extremely challenging as we totally redesigned our retail space. Our shop premises had changing floor levels and ceiling heights that had to be contended with and both the RED team and our contractor worked hard to ensure the project was designed and delivered to perfection.

The RED team helped us through the contractor selection process and their recommended contractor was great to work with and delivered a first class end result that we were all pleased with. We could not be happier with the end result."
